He was 23 yr. and was from the village of Borrisoleigh. I know a little more about his family details but don't have his parents names at least in these notes. He was headed for St. John's Newfoundland where he worked for a few years before settling on Mt. Desert Island for the remainder of his life. I have all the family tree information from him on. My grandparents travelled to Borrisoleigh and visited one of the cemetaries where they believed some Carrolls were buried, but didn't find any. I guess there was another cemetery that they would have liked to check, but didn't get around to it. I don't know if his middle name was Patrick or not. What is your Grandfather's mother name?
Emilyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05124854790635683665noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-806644789710396926.post-28343545373423500752015-11-23T06:45:35.969-09:002015-11-23T06:45:35.969-09:00I think we may be related. I know he came over from Ireland in the 1800's but I'm not sure when or where. I wonder if it's the same guy...Neat. HB on board as well?
No frost here yet, temp is as we speak (for me 6.30 AM) 35 F (for us 2 celcius). We live very (as in very, very) close to the North-sea, it moderates our climate.
Hope you are all fueled up and warmed up to go into your cold wintertime1

Wendy (The Netherlands)

Wendyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03893861460022068471noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-806644789710396926.post-1120656807227660842015-11-22T15:06:15.902-09:002015-11-22T15:06:15.902-09:00It won't do everything that Photoshop does, bu...It won't do everything that Photoshop does, but you can download an open source program called Irfanview that makes very short work of cropping, simple corrections and resizing. I've been using it since the very first version which must have been at least 10 years ago. Definitely worth trying out!Susanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00625403842464223602noreply@blogger.com
